Co je to inflace?

Obecný růst cen

V tržním hospodářství se ceny zboží a služeb mohou kdykoli měnit. Některé ceny rostou, jiné klesají. K inflaci dochází, pokud rostou ceny zboží a služeb celkově, tedy nejen ceny jednotlivých položek. To znamená, že za 1 euro si dnes koupíte méně, než byste si koupili včera. Jinými slovy, inflace v průběhu času snižuje hodnotu měny.

Některé změny cen jsou důležitější než jiné

Při výpočtu průměrného růstu cen mají ceny zboží a služeb, za které platíme více (např. elektřina), větší váhu než ceny zboží a služeb, za které platíme méně (např. cukr nebo poštovní známky).

Různí lidé – různé nákupy

Někdo má auto a jí maso, členové dalších domácností jezdí jen veřejnou dopravou nebo jsou vegetariáni. Průměrné nákupní zvyklosti všech domácností dohromady určují, jakou váhu má jednotlivé zboží a služby při měření inflace.

Pro měření inflace se používá všechno zboží a veškeré služby, které domácnosti spotřebovávají:

  • zboží každodenní spotřeby (jako jsou potraviny, noviny a benzín)
  • zboží dlouhodobé spotřeby (jako je oblečení, počítače a pračky)
  • služby (jako je návštěva kadeřníka, pojištění a nájemní bydlení)

Porovnejte, jak se meziročně mění ceny v nákupním košíku

Veškeré zboží a služby, které domácnosti během roku spotřebují, jsou zastoupeny v pomyslném nákupním koši. Každé zboží a každá služba v tomto koši má stanovenou cenu, která se může časem měnit. Meziroční míra inflace je celková cena koše v daném měsíci oproti jeho ceně ve stejném měsíci o rok dříve.

Harmonizovaný index spotřebitelských cen (HICP)2)

Podle předběžných výpočtů vzrostl v dubnu HICP v Česku meziměsíčně o 1,8 % a meziročně o 13,2 %. Podle bleskových odhadů Eurostatu byla meziroční změna HICP v dubnu 2022 za Eurozónu 7,5 % (v březnu 7,4 %), na Slovensku 10,9 % a v Německu 7,8 %. Podle předběžných údajů Eurostatu byla meziroční změna HICP 27 členských zemí EU v březnu 7,8 %, což bylo o 1,6 procentního bodu více než v únoru. Nejvíce ceny v březnu meziročně vzrostly v Litvě (o 15,6 %) a nejméně na Maltě (o 4,5 %).

Míra inflace vyjádřená přírůstkem indexu spotřebitelských cen ke stejnému měsíci předchozího roku vyjadřuje procentní změnu cenové hladiny ve vykazovaném měsíci daného roku proti stejnému měsíci předchozího roku. V únoru dosáhla 11,1 %.
